What is Rhythmic gymnastics?
Rhythmic gymnastics is a beautiful blend of women’s gymnastics, ballet, & apparatus handling. It is an Olympic sport that has gained great popularity in the United States.
An individual gymnast performs routines to music, using one apparatus.
The apparatus that can be used are rope, ball, hoop, ribbon or clubs
Why Rhythmic gymnastics?
Not only does rhythmic gymnastics greatly improve flexibility, strength and apparatus skills, it also helps participants gain confidence.
It teaches them the value of team work, discipline and hard work, without experiencing the health risks and hazards that come with other high impact sports.
