Tempo Rhythmic Gymnastics
Tempo Rhythmic Gymnastics is the first and only rhythmic gymnastics program in the Savannah area.
It is a USA gymnastics member club created September 2015, and has a mission statement consistent with USA Gymnastics mission to encourage participation and the pursuit of excellence in gymnastics within a fun and healthy environment.
Our Coaches
Our head coach and program director is Dr. Maryam Abdelghani.
After completing her residency training and relocating to the Savannah area, she is excited to bring this sport to coastal Georgia. Rhythmic gymnastics has always been her passion, ever since she started competing herself at the age of 6. In addition, she has gained more than 18 years of experience coaching rhythmic gymnastics as well as 4 years judging. She has helped many gymnasts compete and win medals at state, regional and national competitions.
With her unique medical background, her gymnasts participate in this beautiful sport in a healthy and fun environment.

Ms. Karen has many years of experience coaching women’s gymnastics, tumbling and dance. Since 1987 she has coached and directed gymnasts and dancers of all different levels, from Parent Tot to junior olympic gymnasts. She has coached many state and regional qualifiers, both in her home state of New York and here in Georgia. With her background, we are so happy she is helping our gymnasts with acrobatic skills especially

Ms. Allison has spent most of her life in the gym. She started gymnastics at the age of 3 and competed for years, reaching level 9!
She then began coaching at her home gym for 6 years before relocating to Georgia. We have been so happy to have Ms. Allison join us in 2020!

Intermediate Class: girls age 6 & up

Rhythmic gymnastics recreational classes are a fun way to gain flexibility and strength, while also learning the basics of apparatus handling. This class is a 45 min class.

Our Competitive team
Joining our competitive team is by invitation only, after achieving an appropriate level of flexibility, strength and apparatus handling through recreational classes and pre-team classes. It requires more practice hours per week and more commitment from the participants, and allows them to compete at local, state, regional and national competitions.
Stretching & Conditioning Class
This class has helped many gymnasts, dancers and cheerleaders greatly increase their flexibility while working along side our competitive team.

Beginners Class: girls age 4 & 5
This 45 min class is designed to introduce younger participants to the basics of gymnastics.

Private lessons
Private lessons can be scheduled for participants age 4 to 60 at Pooler Karate or Angel Learning Center. They are encouraged for our competitive team members.

Rhythmic Xcel
Rhythmic Xcel is a USA gymnastics alternative program for recreationally competitive gymnasts, which celebrates what gymnasts CAN do rather than what they can't do. Our competitive team participates in Rhythmic Xcel competitions.

Advanced recreational class (by invitation)
When recreational gymnasts master skills in the intermediate class, they can be invited to move up to "advanced" class, where we build more on flexibility, skills and acrobatics.
